Tips for carpet cleaning

Application

Thoroughly vacuum the carpet and pre-treat any stains. Evenly distribute the powder over the carpet surface. Work it deeply into the carpet fibres using a brush or a special powder-cleaning machine. Allow the powder to dry, then vacuum it up. Benke Carpet Powder cleans carpets gently with minimal moisture. With this method, carpeted areas can be walked on again after a short time. The powder leaves a pleasant fragrance in the room. The precisely dosed liquid active ingredients dissolve various types of dirt. As the powder dries, the dissolved dirt particles are absorbed by the carrier material and can easily be vacuumed away. Suitable for carpets made of natural and synthetic fibres. Like all carpet cleaning powders, it is intended only for cut pile types (velour).

Cleaning leather and faux leather – 6 tips

Leather is a high-quality natural material that, with proper care, maintains its beauty and durability for many years. Faux leather also requires regular cleaning and maintenance to stay supple and prevent cracks or discolouration.

Our recommendations for proper care:

  1. Regular cleaning:
Remove dust and dirt with a soft cloth or vacuum attachment, especially along seams, edges and folds.
  2. Damp, not wet:
Wipe leather or faux leather with a slightly damp cloth. Excess moisture can damage the seams.
  3. Gentle cleaning products:
Use a mild detergent in small amounts if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive agents.
  4. Care and protection:
After cleaning, we recommend treating the material with Benke Leather Balm. It nourishes the leather, prevents it from drying out and keeps it naturally supple.
  5. Preventive measures:
Avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat, as these can cause fading or drying of the surface.
  6. Quick help for stains:
Small stains can often be removed with a damp baby wipe. Always test cleaning or care products on an inconspicuous area first.
